About the position
The Ox Pub Host will minimally possess a high school diploma or equivalent. This position requires someone who is organized, comfortable communicating effectively with others and is a good time manager. The role involves greeting guests in a warm and inviting manner, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the host podium, and ensuring great guest relations. The position also requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities
- Greets on arrival and regards on departure to Guests visiting the Ox Pub dining room in a warm and inviting manner.
- Works in a fast-paced, stressful environment while being calm, collected, and accurate with attention to detail.
- Adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Greet internal and external guests in a warm tone and smile, with eye contact.
- Presents and maintains a professional appearance and attitude.
- Works safely, with sanitation, efficiency, and with guest's loyalty in mind.
- Acts as a role model for the company and responds to questions positively.
- Ensures and maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the host podium and dining room floor.
- Maintains confidentiality and security of relevant information.
- Works with communication devices such as telephones, two-way radio, guest paging system, and both computerized and manual table management system.
- Interacts and speaks with guests to maintain great guest relations.
- Demonstrates successful interpersonal skills in regard to working with diverse people and levels of authority.
- Completes all tasks with minimal supervision and shows a sense of urgency.
- Attains a TIPS certification according to Casino and State guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work any shift needed.
- Successful interpersonal skills.
