About The Position

The position involves assisting customers at self-checkout registers, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a clean and safe store environment. Responsibilities include monitoring self-checkout areas, engaging with customers, processing transactions, and maintaining store standards. The role requires physical activity such as standing, walking, and lifting, as well as the ability to handle customer inquiries and provide product information. The individual will also be responsible for training and supervising other associates, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and performing various tasks to maintain store operations.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of experience using a computer.
• Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology.
• 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs.
• 1 to 2 years of experience as a head cashier.
• 1 to 2 years of experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers.
• Proactively greet and engage with customers.
• Ensure accurate completion of transactions by moving throughout the checkout area.
• Provide SMART customer service by executing Lowe's policies and procedures.
• Assist customers in locating and selecting merchandise.
• Respond to customer and employee questions knowledgeably.
• Coach and train associates in departmental duties.
• Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds using a cash register.
• Supervise and support the CSA Front End Team.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
• Conduct daily safety reviews and ensure compliance with safety standards.
