About The Position

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of experience using a computer.
  • Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology.
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a head cashier.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store.
  • 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience in any field.
  • Less than a year of retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers.
  • Approach and interact with customers to recommend products and services.
  • Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers simultaneously.
  • Move throughout the checkout area to ensure accurate transaction completion.
  • Provide SMART customer service through execution of Lowe's policies.
  • Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, and selecting merchandise.
  • Respond to customer and employee questions and guide them through projects.
  • Use a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds.
  • Coach and train associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
  • Inspect returned merchandise for damages and manage stock levels.
  • Monitor merchandise entering and leaving the store and assist customers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Operate store equipment as needed.
