About The Position

The position involves assisting customers at self-checkout registers, providing customer service, and ensuring a clean and safe store environment. Responsibilities include monitoring self-checkout registers, engaging with customers, processing transactions, and maintaining store standards. The role requires physical activity such as standing, walking, and lifting, as well as the ability to handle customer inquiries and provide product information. The individual will also be responsible for training and supervising other associates, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and performing general duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of experience using a computer.
• Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology.
• 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds.

• 1 to 2 years of experience identifying and selling products.
• 1 to 2 years of experience as a head cashier.
• 1 to 2 years of experience working in any department at a Lowe's store.
• 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience in any field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers.
• Approach and interact with customers to recommend products and services.
• Engage with multiple customers simultaneously at self-checkout.
• Move throughout the checkout area to ensure accurate transaction completion.
• Provide SMART customer service through execution of Lowe's policies.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, and selecting merchandise.
• Respond to customer and employee questions and guide them through projects.
• Use a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds.
• Supervise and support the CSA Front End Team.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages and manage stock.
• Monitor cash in drawers and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Detect signs of shoplifting and communicate with management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and working areas.
