About The Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional Guitar Instructor to teach part-time at New World Music Academy in Pleasanton, CA and Dublin, CA. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about music education and enjoy working with students of various ages and skill levels. The Guitar Instructor will be responsible for providing high-quality music instruction in a supportive and engaging environment. Instructors will have the flexibility to set their availability within the school's open hours, allowing for a balance between personal commitments and teaching responsibilities. However, consistency in scheduling is appreciated by both students and staff, and preference will be given to candidates who can offer greater availability. Successful candidates will possess a strong music background, evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience. A demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians is essential. In addition, instructors must have a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check. The pay for this position is competitive, ranging from $35 to $40 per hour, commensurate with experience. After 90 days on the job, employees will have access to a 401(K) program with employer matching, and those averaging 30 hours or more per week will be eligible for health, vision, and dental benefits.
