About The Position

The Part-Time Group Facilitator is responsible for leading structured therapeutic group sessions for adult clients receiving outpatient behavioral health services. This role requires a licensed mental health professional who can facilitate engaging, clinically appropriate groups while maintaining compliance with all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Active mental health license required (LPC, LAC, LCSW, LSW, or equivalent per state regulations)
  • Strong group facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and maintain professional boundaries
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit consistently to the scheduled hours
  • Ability to sit, stand, and engage in group facilitation for extended periods
  • Ability to manage emotionally sensitive situations in a professional manner

Nice To Haves

  • Experience facilitating group therapy in an outpatient, partial care, or behavioral health setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate therapeutic group sessions in accordance with program curriculum and clinical best practices
  • Create a safe, supportive, and structured group environment that encourages participation and therapeutic engagement
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions appropriate to the client population (e.g., CBT, DBT skills, psychoeducation, coping skills, relapse prevention, etc.)
  • Manage group dynamics effectively and respond to client needs in a trauma-informed manner
  • Complete required clinical documentation accurately and within designated timeframes
  • Communicate clinical concerns, attendance issues, and client progress to the clinical team as needed
  • Adhere to all agency policies, ethical standards, HIPAA regulations, and licensing requirements
  • Participate in brief clinical check-ins or supervision as required
