The Science Museum of Virginia is seeking a part-time Grounds Maintenance Technician. The Grounds Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the clean, safe and welcoming appearance of the Science Museum of Virginia campus. This position is responsible for ensuring all outdoor areas including walkways, entrances, parking lots, landscaped spaces and event areas are well maintained and inviting for guests year-round. Duties include emptying outdoor trashcans, cleaning and upkeep of sidewalks and exterior surfaces, removing debris and litter, maintaining landscaping and grounds equipment, and organizing tools and supplies. In this role you will also assist the Horticulturist by watering, pruning and trimming plants, as well as assisting with volunteer groups, seasonal maintenance and facility projects.
