About The Position
The Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana (GSSI) is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to serve as Part-Time Program Facilitators for their after-school programs. This position is designed to provide The Girl Scout Leadership Experience to youth in grades K-5 by facilitating engaging and educational programs in assigned schools and community organizations during the afternoons throughout the school year. The Program Facilitator will play a crucial role in maintaining and extending the Girl Scout Leadership Experience by offering program opportunities that foster self-esteem, character development, and goal-setting among girls. In this role, the facilitator will be responsible for delivering specifically designed Girl Scout programs as assigned by the GSSI supervisor. Ensuring a safe and supportive environment is paramount, as it allows girls to thrive and develop essential skills while having fun. The facilitator will also be tasked with collecting and preserving accurate records of program attendance and administering pre and post surveys to evaluate program effectiveness. Additionally, the facilitator will represent GSSI professionally in schools and public venues, adhering to all organizational policies and guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong belief in the mission and purpose of the Girl Scout movement and demonstrate a willingness to subscribe to the principles expressed in the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Effective communication skills, both written and oral, are essential for conveying enthusiasm for Girl Scouting and engaging with girls from diverse backgrounds. The position requires the ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and handle multiple priorities while being available during the hours of 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM on assigned days.
