About The Position

Jimmy John's is hiring Delivery Drivers for both locations at 515 State Street and 821 West Erie Plaza. The primary goal of our Delivery Drivers is to ensure that perfectly made sandwiches reach our customers as quickly as possible. This involves learning the most efficient routes, double-checking orders for accuracy, and maintaining a fast pace while ensuring safety and compliance with traffic laws. Our drivers benefit from a small delivery area and a high volume of consistent deliveries, allowing them to take home cash daily. When not on the road, drivers will work as Inshoppers, where they will need to learn the menu thoroughly, assist in taking orders, make sandwiches, and help maintain a clean restaurant environment. Customer service is key in this role, as knowing the menu and fulfilling customer requests with a smile can lead to greater success in daily operations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 30-40 lbs regularly throughout shifts
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and scoop throughout assigned shifts
• Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40°F to -10°F
• Drive safely and obey the rules of the road
• Learn the menu with 100% accuracy

Responsibilities

• Deliver sandwiches to customers in a timely manner
• Learn and navigate the most efficient delivery routes
• Double-check orders for accuracy before delivery
• Work as an Inshopper when not delivering, including taking orders and making sandwiches
• Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant
• Provide excellent customer service and fulfill customer requests

Benefits

• Starting pay at $9.00 an hour plus tips and 5% DMR per order
• Average earnings of around $19 an hour during peak periods
• Daily cash take-home from deliveries
