Part-Time Frozen & Dairy Stocker

About the position

Kimberton Whole Foods in Downingtown is looking for a Part-Time Frozen & Dairy Stocker to join the team! The position is part-time, approximately 24 hours per week, with a set schedule that includes Mondays from 2pm-8:30pm, Thursdays from 10am-6:30pm, Fridays from 9am-5:30pm or 2pm-8:30pm, and Saturdays from 2pm-8:30pm. The pay starts at $15.00 - $16.00 hourly. Candidates must be 18 years or older. Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all.
• Receiving and stocking all incoming refrigerated and frozen items including fresh meat and fish, local eggs and dairy, bakery, and specialty products.
• Stocks and handles product following guidelines for time and temperature demands.
• Rotating back stock on a first-in first-out basis.
• Working in collaboration with the Perishable Department Head to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage throughout the entire department.
• Follows the established KWF SOP for maintaining abundant, dynamic, and fresh displays throughout the entire department.
• Understands KWF inventory management practices.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed.

Requirements

• Full sense range (vision, hearing, and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.
• Lifting, gripping, and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
• Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
• Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
• Standing- prolonged standing.
• Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather than sedentary (sitting).
• Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
