About The Position

The Food Service Worker at Idabel Travel Plaza is responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking food for the eating establishment. This position reports to retail management and requires adherence to company standards for ingredient quality, safety, and consistency. The worker will ensure fast service and delicious food while maintaining a clean and sanitized work area.

Requirements

• Acquire and maintain Food Handler's certification.
• Be on feet 6+ hours per shift.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide food service that meets company standards for ingredient quantity, quality, safety, and consistency.
• Maintain knowledge of all product offerings.
• Prepare food items per menu and recipes, mixing and measuring ingredients according to recipe.
• Adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles.
• Clean and sanitize work area and food preparation equipment; wash and dry dishes and other cooking utensils used in preparing food.
• Store food in designated areas, using knowledge of time and temperature requirements and food spoilage; document temperature readings.
• Read food orders or receive verbal instructions as to food required by guests.
• Serve meals to guests.
• Comply with food and store safety programs and behaviors to minimize employee and guest injury and illness.
• Receive products from vendors following correct procedures; document bad merchandise/write-offs per policy.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
