About The Position

This is a part time position This is a professional position on a residential campus and is responsible for various duties to include: + Will work as a member of the food services team to provide nutritional meals and safeguard the health residential clients, staff and visitors. + Prepares and serves food in accordance with established menus + Monitors the use of food and prepares additional quantities as needed + Properly stores dietary supplies according to department procedures + Note any safety issues which will require immediate notification of Program Coordinator or School Office + Participate in Monthly Environment of Care inspections and ensure compliance with Joint Commission Standards of care. _Devereux GA Lawrenceville facility is a residental faciltiy for female adolescents ages 12-17._ Interested in advancing your career? Requirements

  • EDUCATION : High school graduate or equivalent. Additional training in food preparation preferred. Must be able to read at 12th grade level.
  • EXPERIENCE: At least one year food preparation experience in an institutional setting. Previous experience with the National Lunch Program is preferred.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds, walk, run, stoop, kneel, push/pull and reach above shoulders.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen, Physical, Physical Abilities Test, TB Test and Influenza Vaccine
  • Valid driver's license
  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate's understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional training in food preparation preferred.
  • Previous experience with the National Lunch Program is preferred.
