About The Position

VenuWorks of Grand Island is seeking part-time Food & Beverage staff, including Bartenders, Suite Attendants, and Concessions personnel. The primary responsibility of these roles is to serve patrons food and beverage products in a fast-paced environment while adhering to proper sanitation and alcohol service guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Greets guests approaching stand.
  • Acquaints guests with items for sale and uses suggestive selling techniques.
  • Serves food and beverage items in correct proportions, following proper sanitation guidelines.
  • Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adhering to all venue and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
  • Expedites all orders for cashiers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participates in set-up of stand, arranges inventory and notifies Concessions Supervisor of any inventory deficiency or shortages.
  • Performs ongoing clean-up duties in the stand to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to answer patron questions regarding food and service.
  • Responds to guests with sensitivity with regard to their needs and requests.
  • Checks identification on all guests ordering alcohol.
  • Assures that all food and beverages are served in a timely manner.
  • Assures that all service ware and equipment is stored clean, sanitary, and organized in the proper locations.
  • Executes proper and timely set up and complete clean-up of all banquets.
  • Reports maintenance problems or other problems to the supervisor.
  • Receives and fills drink orders from patrons or servers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons following standard recipes and using company standardized proportions.
  • Collects payment from patrons for drinks served and makes correct change.
  • Completes Daily Bar Sales Report thoroughly and accurately.
  • Maintains bar stock by ordering or requisitioning liquors, beverages, condiments and supplies.
  • Maintains work area in a secure, clean and organized manner.
  • Cleans and stores bar equipment and bar stock.
  • Performs opening and closing duties according to procedure.
