About The Position

A University of Wyoming Bus Driver follows a planned bus route, making scheduled stops to pick up or drop off passengers. They will answer questions about the bus routes and communicate with dispatch via two-way radio during route. Please note: The working hours for these positions vary between 5:30am - 11:00pm depending on your availability. Pre-employment drug screening and review of motor vehicle record history are required. Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: No Experience Required.
  • Valid Driver's License with a motor vehicle record that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy Found at: https://www.uwyo.edu/risk/_files/docs/offical-vehicle-policy.pdf
  • Must be able to pass all drug and/or alcohol screening(s) required by the UW Drug and Alcohol Policy: https://www.uwyo.edu/transportation/_files/docs/drugalcoholpolicy.pdf
  • Ability to work as a team member in a professional team environment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to follow and enforce safety procedures and protocols as directed.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate UW Transit buses as directed, on various routes and assignments.
  • Perform inspections of the equipment as outlined in the department procedures and demonstrated throughout the onboarding process.
  • Maintain relevant paperwork and documentation as required.
  • Positively contribute to the team centered work environment.
  • Follow all University and Transportation Services Policies and Procedures.
