About The Position

The University of Memphis is seeking part-time faculty to teach one or two courses in the Social Work department, primarily at the undergraduate level. This posting is not a guarantee of an open position, as applications for part-time faculty are accepted continuously and reviewed by the department chair when openings arise. Teaching assignments are made on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer semesters. Applicants must re-apply each year to maintain their application within the system, as postings close yearly on January 31.

Requirements

• Master's degree in the teaching discipline or a master's degree in another discipline with 18 hours of graduate work in the teaching discipline.
• Previous higher education teaching experience is strongly desired.
• Must agree to and pass a criminal background check.
