About The Position

The position involves teaching Pipefitting and Fabrication related coursework. Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available. These positions are not current vacancies. Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees. Part-time faculty are hired on an 'as needed' basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course. A portion of the teaching assignment may include evening classes and possibly weekend classes. Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location.

Requirements

• At least three (3) years of industrial experience in the pipefitting trade.
• Experience in fabrication as it applies to pipefitting.
• Exposure and knowledge of the NCCER requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in pipefitting.
• Experience instructing trade/technical courses at the college/high school level.

Responsibilities

• Teach Pipefitting and Fabrication related coursework.
• Utilize various delivery methods based on teaching area and student needs.
• Attend training to become an NCCER instructor if not already certified.
