About The Position

Portland Community College is accepting applications to be considered for Part-Time Faculty assignments in the Veterinary Technology Department at the Rock Creek Campus. The Department will review applications in this pool as the need arises for new part-time faculty in this area. This is NOT an announcement of a specific open position, but a Part-time Faculty Interest Pool, from which the department will identify applicants based on course assignment needs during the Academic Year. Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree or the equivalent in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA accredited institution
  • Five (5) years experience working in a veterinary hospital, clinic, research facility, or the equivalent
  • State of Oregon Certification as a licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT), or license-eligible with license acquired prior to initial teaching assignment
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree
  • Veterinary licensure in Status of Oregon by the Oregon Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, or license-eligible with license acquired prior to initial teaching assignment
