The University of Southern Maine's Economics Program is seeking a part-time faculty member to teach US Economic Policy (ECO 312) in a face-to-face environment for the Fall 2025 semester, beginning September 1, 2025. This course examines policy issues in contemporary US capitalism through a historical lens. Topics discussed include that during the past four decades we have seen economic and social progress for the majority stall as income inequality has soared due to factors such as deindustrialization, financialization, and the inability of workers to unionize. We are seeking a student-focused instructor who will be responsible for the full delivery and grading of the course. Responsibilities include developing the course, teaching, assessing student performance, and meeting with students as needed.
