About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian / Janitor to maintain
cleanliness and sanitation within our facility. This position plays a critical
role in supporting a safe, organized, and productive work environment for all
employees. A clean and well-maintained workplace directly contributes to
efficiency, employee morale, and overall operational success.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, understands the importance of
cleanliness in a manufacturing setting, and can work independently with
consistency and care.

Requirements

• High School Degree (GED)
• Work experience in industrial or in commercial work environment
• Manual skills related to facility maintenance
• Knowledge about basic repair work
• Ability to drive forklift
• Ability to manage time and work in fast pace environment
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years in a janitorial / facilities upkeep position
• Experience in manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors
• Maintain cleanliness of shared break rooms, including countertops, appliances, tables, and floors
• Clean office spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal
• Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as needed
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
• Report any maintenance or safety issues observed during cleaning
