The Food & Beverage Host/Hostess will greet and welcome hotel guests and ensure servers are aware of guests seated in their section. Responsibilities include setting up the coffee bar in the lobby by 6:00 AM, properly restocking it with freshly brewed coffee urns, coffee cups, lids, sugar, milk, stirrers, and cream. The host/hostess will clean all menus and set them out on the bar, ensure all chairs and tables are clean and properly set up, and welcome guests with proper salutation, inquiring about their room number and last name before walking them to their table. They will inform guests that their server will assist them shortly, assist servers in refilling coffee and water on tables during free time, and manage the waiting list if no seating is available. The host/hostess must maintain the coffee bar area clean and properly stocked until 10:00 AM, be knowledgeable about food & beverage offerings and hotel amenities, and properly close down the coffee bar at the end of the shift, leaving the area clean and organized.
