About The Position

As a team member at Michaels, you will plan, coordinate, and facilitate events, including kids' birthday parties, to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. You will deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and ensuring they find what they’re looking for. Your responsibilities will include completing operational tasks such as truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. You will engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, creating an environment of fun and creativity, and instructing party participants in craft projects. You will also handle administrative tasks, adjust plans based on client feedback, and ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events while upholding the company’s cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages and create an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects.
• Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails and making phone calls.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner.
• Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
