About The Position

The position involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating events, including kids' birthday parties, within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. The role requires delivering friendly customer service by assisting customers in shopping and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. Operational tasks include truck unloading, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold the Brand Promises. The candidate will engage with clients of all ages, create an environment of fun and creativity, and ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events while adhering to cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects.
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons.
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails and making phone calls.
  • Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs.
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
  • Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience.
  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes.
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner.
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
