About The Position

A sweet family of five located in Purchase, NY is seeking an afternoon nanny/family assistant to help with their three children, aged 6.5, 5, and 3. All three children attend school full-time, and the schedule for this role will be Monday through Friday, 5-8pm. The family is looking for an immediate start, so the children can get to know the nanny before school starts in September.

Requirements

• Active and energetic, and able to keep up with two very active boys
• Intellectually curious with the desire to really interact with the children
• Firm and kind with the ability to enforce boundaries
• Nurturing and loving
• Mature and seasoned with common sense- both parents have demanding jobs and need someone who can come in and handle the household
• Looking for a long-term commitment with a great family
• A valid driver's license and clean record (the family will provide a car for work use)
• Willing to work in a busy household with family members present
• Ability and willingness to work with a friendly 10lb dog
• Experience working with multiple preschool/elementary school aged children

Nice To Haves

• Swimming is NOT required, but would be a bonus

Responsibilities

• Transport the children as needed
• Family laundry (as time allows)
• Heat and serve dinner
• Supervise dinner and bedtime routines
• Occasionally stay for a date night if available
• Actively engage with children through play, reading, and creative activities
