About The Position

As a bar staff member, you will be responsible for efficiently maintaining bar supplies, which includes preparing daily requisitions as necessary. You must be completely familiar with all the different kinds of liquor, drink recipes, prices, and the proper glassware used for each recipe, as well as the garnishes needed. You will also need to know the drink recipes, prices, and types of beverages available. Additionally, you will be required to handle cash accurately, which includes understanding proper discounting, using the MICROS system (or registers), following bank procedures, and adhering to tip policies. You will be responsible for accurately charging guests for drinks and ensuring the correct intake of all monetary transactions. It is essential to anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests while maintaining positive guest relations at all times. You will also need to resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction in each interaction. Furthermore, you will be required to be formally trained regarding liquor liability within 30 days of employment and every two years thereafter.
