As a bar staff member, you will be responsible for efficiently maintaining bar supplies, which includes preparing daily requisitions as necessary. You must be completely familiar with all the different kinds of liquor, drink recipes, prices of drinks, proper glassware used for each recipe, and the garnishes needed. You will also need to know drink recipes, prices, and the types of beverages available. Additionally, you will be required to handle cash accurately, including proper discounting, using the MICROS system (or registers), following bank procedures, and adhering to tip policies. It is your responsibility to accurately charge guests for drinks and ensure the correct intake of all monies. You will need to anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, maintaining positive guest relations at all times. Resolving guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction in each interaction is also a key part of your role. You will be required to be formally trained regarding liquor liability within 30 days of employment and every two years thereafter.
