About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for responding to all service calls within half an hour from the time the call is received. You will determine defects, troubleshoot malfunctions, and take immediate necessary corrective action if the issue is guest-related or a top priority. Additionally, you will follow specific departmental procedures to efficiently perform repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation work while complying with the latest local, county, state, and federal governmental codes, laws, and requirements. You will also coordinate with other department personnel such as electricians, carpenters, painters, and night engineers to complete service, replacement, alteration, and new installation work. This position provides cross-departmental support as needed, allowing for valuable exposure to various aspects of hotel operations while supporting your professional growth.

Requirements

  • Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction.
  • Vocational training, associate's degree, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; state certification or license where required.
  • Understand and efficiently maintain and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
  • Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High work ethic and self-initiative.
