Part-Time Emergency Medical Technician
About The Position
Penn State Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is seeking currently certified EMTs who are Penn State students or external candidates for multiple, part-time Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) at the University Park Campus. These positions provide 911 emergency care on an ambulance or at a special event venue as needed. Applicants must hold current certifications for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an EMT and as an emergency vehicle operator. Additionally, applicants must be currently certified in CPR and must have successfully completed the University Ambulance Service orientation and training program. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Applications will be received on an ongoing basis and will be reviewed as the need arises.
Requirements
- Current certification for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an EMT
- Current certification as an emergency vehicle operator
- Currently certified in CPR
- Successfully completed the University Ambulance Service orientation and training program
- Valid driver’s license
- Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check
- Successful completion of standard background checks
