Part Time ELL Instructor - Fort Dodge, Eagle Grove, Webster City
About The Position
Instruct adult English language learners in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Students' proficiency levels range from non-English speakers to level 6 (approximately 9th grade reading level), basic recording keeping. Expectations: Good communication with supervisor, fellow instructors, and students Present organized lessons in a face-to-face classroom setting Be flexible Be open to learning and trying new things in the classroom Have a heart for immigrant and refugee populations Connect with students and build a positive learning community within your classroom The program runs year-round. The interviewing process will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
Requirements
- BA required
- basic knowledge of computers
Nice To Haves
- BA in Education preferred
- Spanish (or other second language helpful but not required)
