The Skirball Cultural Center seeks skilled Part-Time Educators to facilitate school and public programs within various Skirball spaces and galleries, including Noah’s Ark at the Skirball, the Skirball’s award-winning interactive children’s and family destination. Part-Time Educators are part of a collaborative team that develops and facilitates participatory programs for families of all types, especially those with young children. These include programs for Noah’s Ark at the Skirball and adjacent Bloom Garden, Art Studio, Archaeology Dig, Visions and Values exhibition, selected changing exhibitions and a variety of seasonal Family Programs offerings. Part-Time Educators facilitate school and family learning through activities such as puppetry, movement, percussion, cooperative games, storytelling, gallery learning and hands-on art making activities. They impart key Skirball and Noah’s Ark messages and help to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Part-time Educators are part of the Education and Family Programs Department and report to the Associate Director of Noah’s Ark and Family Programs.
