About The Position

The Part-Time Driver position at Cox Automotive involves the safe moving, staging, and parking of vehicles. The role requires driving cars through auction lanes on designated sale days while adhering to auction safety rules and regulations. The working hours are from 11 am to 8 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from 11 am to 4 pm on Saturdays. The hourly pay rate is $17.52, with potential additional compensation through commissions or incentive programs.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to enter and exit vehicles constantly.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to walk long distances.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting, and climbing.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous auction experience preferred.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.
• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises and to and from customer dealerships and businesses.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by the supervisor or team leader.
• Move vehicles as necessary and locate 'lost' vehicles.
• Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed, including inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles.
• Notify the supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative.
• Assist customers and coworkers as needed.
• Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures.
• Participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
