About The Position

The Part-time Donor Specialist at Goodwill of North Georgia is responsible for examining and grading donated goods for resale in retail stores. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year or more of production experience preferred.
• Basic math and reading skills required.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Interpersonal skills necessary for guest interactions.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Examine and grade donated goods for resale.
• Process donations in a timely manner to meet production goals.
• Display a professional and patient attitude with guests.
• Provide donation receipts to guests at the time of donation.
• Handle guest questions and resolve issues according to standard procedures.
• Sort donations into designated categories.
• Communicate effectively with management as needed.
• Perform work tasks according to training and instructions.
• Promote teamwork and cooperation with peers.
• Maintain a clean and organized donation area.
• Adhere to safety and security practices, reporting hazards to management.
• Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading donations.
• Attend and complete all required trainings and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
