About The Position
The Dog Groomer is an integral position at Scenthound, offering grooming knowledge and providing grooming services to clients. This role requires at least one year of grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of dog breeds, care standards, and tools of the trade. Additionally, the position demands physical strength to lift up to 70 pounds and stamina to stand for long periods of time. Reliable transportation is necessary, and the candidate must be willing to work in a smoke-free environment. We are searching for a confident dog groomer who loves to groom dogs! A successful Dog Groomer is knowledgeable, perceptive, patient, adaptable, and a compassionate dog lover. We are looking for a motivated groomer to join our team! This is a part-time position where we are looking for someone who can primarily work on Saturdays from 9 am to 6 pm and Sundays from 9 am to 4 pm. The tasks include grooming to Scenthound standards, which primarily involves puppy cuts; one length all-over with a neat face. The groomer will also create an environment conducive to learning, open communication, and teamwork, identify when and where help is needed, and provide assistance to keep the Scenter on schedule. Ensuring the safety of dogs and team members at all times and adhering to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices are also crucial responsibilities.
