Job Purpose: Provides clean dishes and utensils, and maintains safe and sanitary kitchens. Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time) Provides kitchen with adequate supply of clean pots, pans, utensils and dishware by scraping, racking, stacking and washing, unloading dishwasher, manually washing items as needed and putting items away when dry to the appropriate area. Ensures kitchen safety by organizing soiled pots, pans, and dishes prior to loading them in to dishwasher, mopping and cleaning spills, and placing caution signs on wet floors and in hazardous areas according to established procedures. Maintains sanitary kitchen by cleaning counters, shelves, walls, ceilings and equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, placing soiled linen and towels into appropriate bins according to established procedures. Ensures a clean and orderly storage area by arranging and straightening food products and equipment, wiping shelves and counters, disposing of empty cartons, boxes and trash, and sweeping and mopping storage area floors. Complete mandatory trainings including but not limited to health and safety, as required by the department.
