Children's Dentistry of Knoxville is looking to hire a Part-Time Dental Assistant who is excited about a fun and rewarding career in the Pediatric Dental field! This position will be scheduled to work Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:50 am-4:30 pm at our Farragut office. WHO WE ARE: Children’s Dentistry of Knoxville is about relationships. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during generalized pediatric dental procedures, including general anesthesia.
- Clean the patient’s teeth.
- Fluoride application
- Take, expose and develop digital radiographs (bitewings, panoramic).
- Provide hygiene and diet education.
- Take impressions.
- Schedule follow-up exams.
- Review schedule to make sure appointments are scheduled appropriately.
- Set-up and tear down dental chairs and operatory rooms.
- Parents consults-discuss treatment plans.
- Clean and sterilize instruments.
- Lab work.
- Restock supplies in rooms and sterilization area.
- Infection control & maintenance of OSHA guidelines.
- Participate in marketing endeavors
- Write letters to be sent to referrals.
