Part Time Dental Assistant @ Towncare Dental Associates of Homestead

About the position

Towncare Dental Associates of Homestead is looking for a Bilingual (English & Spanish) Part Time Dental Assistant to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered. As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Help dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Requirements

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or six months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation).
• X-Ray certification.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be bilingual (English & Spanish).
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
