About The Position

ServiceFM LLC is hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Day Porter and Custodian to support daily custodial operations at a large middle and high school facility. The ideal candidate is proactive, takes pride in cleanliness, and is committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is required
• Consistent and reliable attendance, with strong punctuality
• Must successfully pass a background check to work in a school environment
• Physically capable of performing labor-intensive tasks, including walking, bending, stretching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pulling, and pushing
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, professionalism, and customer service mindset
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Able to accurately track and log work hours using a smartphone or mobile device

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial duties (cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal).
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure the cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and entrances.
• Maintain floors and carpets as needed.
• Support event setups and breakdowns, including furniture moves.
• Help secure building entrances during shifts and report any safety or maintenance issues.
• Carry and respond to a two-way radio for service and emergency communication.
• Provide occasional support for weekend events with advance notice.
