About The Position

Membership to the Fitchburg State University part time adjunct faculty pool is open to qualified and competent experts, external to the Fitchburg State University faculty, who possess skills, education, and experience in academic and/or professional areas. All part time faculty are responsible for providing our students with a high quality learning environment, while utilizing their focused expertise and experience in their individual classroom, laboratories and studios. The Department of Humanities at Fitchburg State University invites applications for an Adjunct in Philosophy. The specific Philosophy courses available for adjunct faculty vary from semester to semester, depending on student demand and department curricular needs, but may include such courses as Logic, Philosophy of Human Nature, and Medical Ethics, among others. Applicants should have relevant teaching experience, preferably in a university environment.

Requirements

• M.A. (or A.B.D.) required in Philosophy.
• Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a university environment.

Responsibilities
