Membership to the Fitchburg State University part time adjunct faculty pool is open to qualified and competent experts, external to the Fitchburg State University faculty, who possess skills, education, and experience in academic and/or professional areas. All part time faculty are responsible for providing our students with a high quality learning environment, while utilizing their focused expertise and experience in their individual classroom, laboratories and studios. The Computer Science Department is looking for dedicated individuals that have demonstrated teaching excellence, interest in and ability to teach a variety of undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems. Teaching responsibilities may include hardware and software courses, programming courses in Java/Python, networks and databases, and other courses that meet the needs of the department. The Computer Science department offers the following majors/concentrations/tracks: Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Game Programming, Cybersecurity, and M.S. in Computer Science. Most graduate and some undergraduate courses can be offered remotely using asynchronous, synchronous modes.
