About The Position

Membership to the Fitchburg State University part time adjunct faculty pool is open to qualified and competent experts, external to the Fitchburg State University faculty, who possess skills, education, and experience in academic and/or professional areas. All part time faculty are responsible for providing our students with a high quality learning environment, while utilizing their focused expertise and experience in their individual classroom, laboratories and studios. The Department of Biology and Chemistry offers the following majors and concentrations within the majors: Biology major, Biotechnology concentration, Environmental Biology concentration, Health Sciences concentration, Neuroscience and Behavior concentration, Biology Initial Teacher Licensure concentration, Chemistry major, Chemistry Initial Teacher Licensure concentration. Minors include Biology, Chemistry, and Neuroscience, Behavior, and Cognition.

Requirements

• A minimum Master's degree; Ph.D. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality learning environment for students.
• Utilize expertise and experience in individual classrooms, laboratories, and studios.
• Teach undergraduate chemistry courses for majors and/or non-majors.
