About The Position

As a Part-Time Custom Framing Designer at Michaels, you will build customer relationships while creating memorable framing solutions for their art. You will assist customers in shopping our store and help them find what they're looking for, all while providing a safe, clean, and clutter-free environment. This position requires availability to work every other weekend and every Monday, with non-peak hours from 11am to 7pm. Hours may vary during peak season.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills.
• Basic measuring skills.
• Ability to operate framing equipment and glass cutter.

Responsibilities

• Respect operational procedures and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
• Take ownership of the custom design role using the ABC model.
• Deliver as agreed to establish relationships with all customers while creating custom framing solutions.
• Achieve sales and production results.
• Take quality framing orders and deliver them on time.
• Maintain the ready-made frame section and other assigned areas by performing OSEM and directed replenishment.
• Provide courteous customer service, assist customers in shopping, and ensure proper presentation and replenishment of merchandise.
• Support loss prevention and safety programs.
• Interact with others in an acceptable and respectful manner, remaining positive even in difficult situations.
• Promote commitment to the company's vision and values, projecting a positive image and serving as a role model for others.
• Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes to ensure delivery standards are met and budget is adhered to.
• Use a cash register and handle money according to standards.
• Welcome customers, assist them in finding products, and offer solutions.
• Assist with omnichannel processes.
• Perform other assigned tasks.
