This position will be located within the Institute of Corporate and Public Safety Institute (ICPS); a federally funded training entity under the Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC). Under the direction of the ICPS Director, the part-time Research Assistant will be responsible for supporting new course development and the three-year course recertification process for a series of several courses. This is a part-time provisional, grant funded position.

Requirements

• The formal equivalent of a high school diploma
• At least two years of administrative experience
• Applicable equivalencies (work experience and/or educational achievements) may be considered on the above minimum qualifications

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree from an accredited institution of higher education
• Five or more years of progressive responsibility in administrative management
• Experience supporting emergency management or public safety organizations
• Exposure to Adobe Create Cloud tools
• Exposure to formal project management operations-Agile, waterfall, or hybrid
• Copy editing experience

Responsibilities

• Basic academic research
• Tracks updates of relevant content sources
• Perform utility checks of project standards
• Secures content-appropriate images
• Records and tracks project deadlines
• Manages digital file system
• Maintains a resource web-page
• Perform other related duties as assigned
