About The Position

The position involves developing and delivering instructional lectures for culinary arts courses, with a commitment of up to 10 hours per week. The instructor will be responsible for organizing and teaching all levels of culinary classes, utilizing appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning. The role may require teaching during the day, evening, and/or weekends, including distance learning formats such as interactive television and online courses, as well as accelerated courses. Additionally, the instructor will assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester and may participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired.

Requirements

  • Any associate degree and six years of full-time occupational experience in the related field
  • Any bachelor's degree and two years of full-time occupational experience in the related field
  • Possess a California Community life credential in the subject matter area
  • Possession of a ServSafe Food Handler, Manager, and Responsible Alcohol Certification
  • Experience working in an environment that focuses on hospitality and customer service
  • The equivalent
