About The Position

Children’s Home Society of South Dakota is seeking a Part Time Cook to help prepare meals and snacks for clients and on-duty staff at our Shelter for Family Safety. Requirements

  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Must be over 21 years of age.
  • Must successfully complete all required background/pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Fulfill menu requirements and serve meals.
  • Cleaning Duties: Wash pots and pans, trays, dishes, etc. Take out kitchen trash to outside trash bins.
  • Food Storage: Cover, label and date all suitable leftovers for storage.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain personal cleanliness, as well as cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas.
  • Compliance: Take and record food temperatures at mealtime. Take and record refrigerator, freezer and dishwashing machine temperatures.
