About The Position

Methodist Home for Children'a Insight Juvenile Crisis and Assessment Center serves
youth ages 10–17 who need safety, stability, and support. We’re looking for a Part-Time Cook who wants their work to matter.

This role is more than cooking. It’s providing comfort, consistency, and care to young people who need it most. Every meal you prepare helps create a safer, more hopeful day.

Requirements

• Age 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience preparing meals (preferably for groups)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to complete required training (CPR, First Aid, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals for youth and staff
• Plan menus that meet USDA and NC CACFP guidelines
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen
• Order, track, and store food supplies
• Incorporate cultural diversity into meal planning
