About The Position

Penn State Abington's Science and Engineering Division seeks an instructor in the area of Computer Science for a part-time appointment to begin Fall 2025. The successful candidate will teach one or more of the following college level courses in computer science: Compiler construction, formal languages with applications, object oriented programming with web-based applications in Java. The ideal candidate should be open to offering flexibility in course scheduling and methods of course delivery.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse student population.
• Completed at least a Master's degree in either computer science or data science or a related field.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach college level courses in computer science including Compiler construction, formal languages with applications, and object oriented programming with web-based applications in Java.
• Offer flexibility in course scheduling and methods of course delivery.
