Requirements

  • Training or education and two years’ experience in the making, selling, marketing, teaching, etc. of a community education topic, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Demonstrate behaviors and actions that support student recruitment, retention, and student success initiatives.
  • Demonstrate behaviors and action that support the College’s values
  • Demonstrate behaviors and actions that create respectful environments and services for all, and the ability to work effectively across differences in background and experience.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or attending meetings
  • Ability to move around the campus to attend meetings and events
  • Proficiency in using hands and fingers to handle or operate office equipment, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to read documents and communicate effectively with students and staff.
  • Capability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teaching experience with adult learners is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the instruction process, associated curriculum development, and student advising within the area of instruction.
  • Responsible for instructing classes aimed at both teaching individuals to learn a new skill or supplement their income.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities will be discussed as needs arise.
