About The Position

KFI is a Maine-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living full, independent lives in their communities. The team is composed of dedicated, fun-loving, and compassionate individuals. This specific role involves supporting a 29-year-old male in Lincoln who enjoys video games, TV shows, movies, music, comedy, and occasionally eating out. He is independent and has many skills but may require reminders and prompting for day-to-day tasks, hygiene, and medication management. He is also determined to get his driver's license and may need support with studying material. The position offers a welcoming environment where ideas are valued and work has an impact.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Maine Driver’s License
  • A Registered and Insured Vehicle
  • Evening and weekend availability

Responsibilities

  • Support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living full, independent lives in their communities
  • Provide reminders and prompting for day-to-day tasks, hygiene, and medication management
  • Support with studying material for obtaining a driver's license
  • Support people in their own homes and communities
