Part-Time Stocker- Cold Foods Department
About The Position
Kimberton Whole Foods is looking for two Part-Time Cold Foods Stockers to join the team! Weekly Requirements: Part-time, up to 24 hours a week. One weekend shift is required each week. Position 1: Sunday 2-6:30pm, Monday 4-8:30pm, Friday 7am-2pm Position 2: Monday 9am-2pm, Thursday 3-8:30pm, Saturday 4-8:30pm Pay: $16.00 hourly to start, depending on experience Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older. Benefits: Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked DAILY OPERATIONS: The Cold Foods Stocker's primary responsibilities to execute the following.
Requirements
- Full sense range (vision, hearing, and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.
- Lifting, gripping, and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
- Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
- Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
- Standing- prolonged standing.
- Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting).
- Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to all.
- Receiving and stocking all incoming refrigerated and frozen items including fresh meat and fish, local eggs and dairy, bakery, and specialty products.
- Stocks and handles product following guidelines for time and temperature demands.
- Rotating back stock on a first-in first-out basis.
- Working in collaboration with the Perishable Department Head to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage throughout the entire department.
- Follows the established KWF SOP for maintaining abundant, dynamic, and fresh displays throughout the entire department.
- Understands KWF inventory management practices.
- Assist in other areas of the store as needed.
