About The Position

Part-Time Clinical Registered Dietitian (Onsite & Remote) Stockton & Sacramento, CA (local travel required) RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition services to multiple locations within the Stockton and Sacramento, California area. This position is ideal for a Registered Dietitian looking for consistent part-time hours with a combination of onsite visits and remote work. Position Details Hours: 8–10 hours per week Schedule: Flexible Compensation: $40.00–$46.00 per hour (based on experience) Travel Time: Compensated at the same hourly rate Mileage Reimbursement: Provided Service Area: 35 locations within a 20-minute radius of Stockton and Sacramento, CA Work Setting: Onsite clinical visits required Menu review and development may be completed remotely via telehealth

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program
  • Registered Dietitian credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (preferred)
  • Experience reviewing menus for healthcare or community-based facilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to assess needs, develop goals, and implement effective nutrition interventions
  • Proficiency in general clinical nutrition
  • Familiarity with state survey processes and nutrition care regulations

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments on new admissions and quarterly thereafter, with more frequent reviews for high-risk individuals
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to support optimal nutrition care outcomes
  • Review and approve menus on a semi-annual basis to ensure compliance with USDA guidelines
  • Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and within scope of practice
