About The Position

The Client Services Specialist (CSS) at Pat's Place Child Advocacy Center plays a crucial role in providing support to clients, families, and agency partners within a child-friendly environment. This part-time position involves greeting and assisting children and families, ensuring their safety and comfort, and providing administrative support to program personnel. The CSS is responsible for maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and facilitating access to services while utilizing trauma-informed skills to support children and caregivers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Two or more years of experience working with children and families.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • Some post-high school training or education in child development, psychology, or social work.

Responsibilities

  • Greet children and families at both sites and welcome partners and visitors to the Center.
  • Ensure a child-friendly environment for children and families receiving services.
  • Monitor and supervise children in the waiting room to ensure their safety.
  • Provide support to children in the Mental Health program using various forms of self-expression.
  • Receive calls from parents and community members seeking support and information related to child abuse and services.
  • Oversee the facility to ensure safety and comfort for clients and visitors.
  • Manage clinical appointment calendar and confirm appointments with caregivers.
  • Assist program personnel with the creation of therapeutic activities and input client service data.
  • Participate in team meetings and other program and agency events.
